Position Overview:

The Senior Operations Recruiter is responsible for leading full-cycle recruiting efforts for Palmer-Donavin’s frontline and operations workforce. This role serves as a subject matter expert for high-volume and hard-to-fill recruiting, partnering closely with operational leaders to maintain staffing levels, anticipate workforce needs, and attract high-quality talent across multiple locations.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on recruiting role that requires urgency, strong judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. In addition to owning assigned searches, the Senior Operations Recruiter will help strengthen recruiting processes, monitor labor market trends, mentor other recruiters, and use recruiting data to continuously improve results.

This is an onsite role based in Grove City, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage high-volume, full-cycle recruiting for operations, warehouse, CDL driver, and other assigned positions across multiple locations.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for high-volume and hard-to-fill positions using job boards, direct sourcing, referrals, and other recruiting channels.
  • Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for recurring frontline hiring needs.
  • Screen and interview candidates to assess experience, work ethic, qualifications, and alignment with Palmer-Donavin’s culture.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and operations leadership to understand staffing priorities, establish recruiting strategies, and move qualified candidates efficiently through the hiring process.
  • Serve as a recruiting subject matter expert to operational leaders by providing guidance on candidate availability, compensation trends, labor market conditions, and hiring challenges.
  • Monitor recruiting performance including time to fill, offer acceptance, new-hire turnover, sourcing effectiveness, and other key recruiting metrics.
  • Identify recurring staffing challenges and recommend changes to sourcing strategies, hiring processes, compensation, job postings, or other factors impacting recruiting results.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and requisition information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and ensure recruiting practices remain consistent and compliant.
  • Provide coaching and support to other recruiters on sourcing strategies, candidate management, recruiting processes, and ATS best practices.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Manager to improve recruiting processes, tools, playbooks, and hiring manager resources.
  • Support workforce planning efforts by identifying future hiring needs and developing pipelines before vacancies impact operations.
  • Represent Palmer-Donavin at recruiting events, job fairs, community partnerships, and other outreach opportunities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2+ years of recruiting, staffing, or related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-volume or frontline recruiting; experience supporting warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, transportation, or similar operational environments strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to independently manage full-cycle recruiting across multiple simultaneous openings and locations.
  • Strong sourcing skills with experience developing candidate pipelines beyond inbound applicants.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with leaders across the organization.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and providing guidance to other recruiters preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and sourcing tools preferred.
