The role, at a glance: 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Operations Program Manager (OPM) to join our globally organized Operations Program Management team. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the primary Operations representative and project leader for New Product Development and Introduction (NPD/NPI) programs, acting as the voice of Operations across cross-functional program teams. 

You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Sales, and Operations stakeholders to ensure new products are developed, launched, and transitioned into manufacturing with long-term, sustainable success. Whether manufacturing is in-house or subcontracted, you will be the key relationship owner and driver of operational excellence. 

 

How you’ll contribute: 

Program Leadership & Execution 

  • Lead and manage all Operations tasks and responsibilities across assigned NPI programs from inception through successful product launch 

  • Establish clear Operations and Manufacturing objectives, delegate assignments, and mentor team members to ensure program goals are met 

  • Contribute to, monitor, and coordinate program activities across all Operations functions, ensuring programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to performance requirements 

  • Manage multiple concurrent technology products from concept through release 

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

  • Represent all Operations departments, including Production, Sourcing, Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Warehousing, and Customer Service in program meetings and activities 

  • Communicate Design for Manufacturability (DFM), testability, and serviceability requirements back to design teams within appropriate timeframes 

  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with internal stakeholders, key suppliers, and external development partners 

Risk Management & Reporting 

  • Track and report program progress against launch milestones, proactively surfacing blockers, schedule risks, and challenges 

  • Ensure risks are transparent to the organization and are owned or mitigated by the appropriate individuals and teams 

Supplier & Partner Management 

  • Identify, vet, and manage new and existing suppliers; lead negotiations and engagements with external manufacturers and development partners 

  • Conduct supplier meetings and manage supplier progress relative to new product timelines 

Design for Operations 

  • Drive and contribute to product design considerations for manufacturability, testability, serviceability and operational efficiency from project inception through production 

 

A successful candidate should have: 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related field 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a combination of Operations, Engineering, and/or Program Management roles 

  • Demonstrated experience developing, producing, or supporting electronic and/or electromechanical products, subassemblies, and components 

  • Proven ability to influence and drive change across all levels of an organization without direct positional authority 

  • Exceptional decision-making, consensus-building, and conflict resolution skills 

  • Natural problem-solver with strong business acumen and a collaborative leadership style 

  • Comfortable communicating and presenting up to the Executive level 

  • Broad knowledge of Operations functions: planning, supply chain, PCBA and product assembly, quality, warehousing, distribution, customer care, and reverse logistics 

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and material planning functions 

  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma manufacturing principles 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global, and growing organization 

 

Work Environment: 

  • Amount of Travel: <10%, as needed to partner with suppliers and attend trade shows
