Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Operations Manager located in Prai, Penang.
Responsible for effectively managing all strategic operational processes and resources and managing an organization in order to achieve and maintain operational excellence.
What a typical day looks like:
Manage appropriate staffing and inventory levels.
Oversee the assembly operations to meet corporate KOI.
Supervise production staff on work method and quality checkpoints.
Coordinate with other departments and other Flex sites to drive for excellence.
Coordinate efforts of operations team by establishing procurement, production and engineering services policies and practices.
Ensure ISO and safety standards are adhered to.
Report to Senior Management team in weekly operations reviews.
Coach and mentor Operations team.
Leverage industry practices and apply to internal systems and processes.
Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with at least 9 years of operations experience including management.
Knowledge and experience in Medical Devices manufacturing and ISO13485 certification (advantageous but not mandatory).
Strong financial management capabilities, including budgeting, cost control, and delivering P&L commitments.
Deep understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes and quality control practices.
Proven leadership experience in managing and motivating cross-functional teams within a matrix organization, with the ability to handle conflict resolution effectively.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels—from shop floor to senior management.
Continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on process enhancement, waste reduction, and operational excellence.
