About the Role

Our Operations team is at the heart of how Uber grows and operates its business. As Senior Operations Manager for Morocco, you will play a key role in growing the business, solving our most important operational challenges, and helping shape our strategy for the market.

This is a broad, hands-on role. You will develop a deep understanding of our riders, drivers, competitors and marketplace; identify opportunities and challenges; contribute to strategies to address them; and work across teams to turn those strategies into results.

You will also represent Uber externally, building relationships with key stakeholders including fleet partners, industry participants and government stakeholders, while leading the operational teams responsible for driver support and onboarding.

We are looking for someone who combines strong problem-solving and analytical ability with operational execution. You should be comfortable diagnosing a complex problem, using data to understand it, developing a recommendation, communicating it clearly, and then getting into the details required to make it happen.

What the Candidate Will Do

  1. Drive Market Performance: Develop a deep understanding of the business and marketplace, identify opportunities and challenges, and contribute to strategies that drive sustainable growth.
  2. Solve Problems & Execute: Break down complex problems, use data and market insights to develop recommendations, and translate them into practical actions and measurable results.
  3. Understand the Market: Build a strong understanding of riders, drivers, competitors and marketplace dynamics, including gathering competitive intelligence and identifying emerging trends.
  4. Lead Operations: Manage the teams and processes responsible for driver onboarding, support and engagement, while continuously improving the driver experience and operational performance.
  5. Build Key Relationships: Develop strong relationships with fleets, government stakeholders and other important partners, working closely with Policy, Legal and other internal teams.
  6. Work Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Marketplace, Policy, Legal, Finance and regional Operations teams to solve problems and deliver against Morocco's priorities.

What the Candidate Will Need

  1. Min 5 yrs of experience in operations, consulting, technology, startups, mobility or another fast-paced and analytical environment.
  2. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills: Able to structure ambiguous problems, work comfortably with numbers and data, and turn analysis into clear recommendations.
  3. Strong operational mindset: Comfortable moving from strategy to execution, getting into the details and taking ownership for delivering results.
  4. Excellent communication and stakeholder management: Able to communicate complex ideas simply, present effectively, and build relationships across senior internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Leadership: Experience leading people, projects or cross-functional teams and raising the standard of execution around you.
  6. Languages: Fluency in English and Arabic is required. French proficiency is strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in mobility, marketplaces, logistics, technology or another operationally complex business.
  • A quantitative academic background (including STEM, economics, finance or similar) is helpful, but not required.
  • Familiarity with SQL or other analytical tools is a plus, but not required - strong numerical literacy, analytical thinking and the ability to learn quickly are more important.
