We are looking for a Senior Operational Risk Analyst (non-financial) to join us in a group-level role with impact across payments, customer service, technology, and compliance. You’ll help identify and assess risks, analyse processes for improvements, and support scenario analysis to strengthen resilience. In this role, you’ll prepare clear risk reports for senior leadership and regulators, maintain our risk register, and contribute to the ongoing development of our risk and governance frameworks, ensuring we stay aligned with industry best practice.

Responsabilities

  • Provide guidance, support, review and constructive challenge as required for the process of identification, assessment, and documentation of operational risks across key business areas, including payments, customer service, technology, and compliance. 
  • Analyse internal processes to detect potential weaknesses or vulnerabilities and drive improvements of areas identified
  •  Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing to evaluate the organisation's preparedness for operational disruptions and capital assessment 
  • Prepare and deliver detailed risk reports on an regular and adhoc basis for senior leadership, risk committees, and regulatory bodies, highlighting risk trends, control effectiveness, and areas requiring attention. 
  • Maintain the risk register, ensuring it is comprehensive, up-to-date, and aligned with the organisation's risk framework. 
  • Support regular reviews of the operational risk management framework, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. 
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the governance framework to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies

Requirements

  • 5+  years' experience in a 1st/2nd line role in financial services with a focus on Operational Risk.
  • Understanding of Risk Management assessment methodologies and frameworks. 
  • Knowledge or experience of Operational Risk capital requirement calculations or modelling. 
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills & confidence and experience of Microsoft Office tools. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, ability to liaise across risk, compliance, and IT teams.
  • Experience in a professional services (consulting, financial services etc) is a plus
