In this role, you will partner with business leaders to optimize processes, enhance operational performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement that supports Alvotech's growth and long-term success.

The role acts as an internal consultant and trusted partner to functional leaders, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, compliance, scalability, and organizational effectiveness. Through data-driven decision making, structured problem solving, and change leadership, the position enables sustainable operational excellence and supports execution of Alvotech's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement

  • Lead cross-functional operational excellence initiatives. 
  • Drive process optimization efforts using Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, and continuous improvement methodologies. 
  • Identify operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks, risks, and waste and develop sustainable improvement solutions.
  • Facilitate value stream mapping, process mapping, workflow redesign, and business process reviews.
  • Establish standardized approaches that improve efficiency, quality, compliance, and business performance.

Strategic Projects and Business Transformation

  • Lead complex improvement and transformation projects with significant organizational impact.
  • Support strategic initiatives by translating business objectives into actionable improvement programs.
  • Manage project plans, timelines, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Drive implementation of new ways of working, governance structures, and operational frameworks.
  • Ensure project benefits are measured, tracked, and sustained following implementation.

Operational Excellence Capability Building

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Coach and mentor project teams and stakeholders on operational excellence methodologies and tools.
  • Share best practices and lessons learned across departments.
  • Support development of operational excellence standards, methodologies, and governance models.

Compliance and Quality

  • Ensure improvement initiatives align with applicable GMP requirements, company procedures, and regulatory expectations.
  • Support inspection readiness through robust process documentation and sustainable process controls.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, investigations, and CAPA activities where operational processes are impacted.

Minimum Education and Experience Required

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Biotechnology, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Project Management, Management Consulting, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional improvement initiatives.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable business improvements.
  • Experience working within a pharmaceutical environment is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong facilitation and workshop leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively across all organizational levels.

Preferred Certifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is an advantage.
