Job Summary
Position responsible for performing complex and diversified administrative duties for a department.The Senior Office Assistant will support operations across two floors. This position requires proficiency in utilizing the EasyLobby badging system, scanning documents, taking photographs, photocopying, and assembling packages, along with basic computer skills. Responsibilities include ordering supplies, maintaining stocked supply carts, and conducting daily unit rounds. This frontline role demands strong communication skills, patient interaction abilities, and scheduling competence.

Education: High School Diploma preferred
Licenses/Certifications: (None)
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
Five (5) years of clerical experience, with at least three (3) years directly related to the assignment
Some supervisory skills are preferred
Principal Accountabilities
Develops and produces reports, letters, memoranda, minutes and other departmental correspondence. Maintains and updates departmental files.
Ensures the timeliness and proper distribution of reports and other communications for area of responsibility.
Orients and trains employees regarding system and hospital policies and procedures.
Identifies and responds to problems with appropriate action and follow-up.
Ensures safe care to patients, adhering to policies, procedures, and standards, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experience staff.
Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences. Models Memorial Hermann’s service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.
