We're looking for a Senior New Business Manager to help grow our commercial partnerships across the Dutch portfolio, including Westfield Mall of the Netherlands and Stadshart Amstelveen. This role is focused on building new relationships, identifying opportunities and developing strategic partnerships that unlock value for both our clients and our business.

 

Based in our Head office in Amstelveen, you'll work closely with our Northern European Westfield Rise team and collaborate across markets including Sweden and Denmark. Reporting to the Head of Westfield Rise (NL, SE & DK), you'll play a key role in driving the next phase of growth for one of the most innovative players in the retail media landscape.

Key objectives

  • As part of the high-performance Westfield Rise team you are challenged to sell and deliver physical, digital and/or online consumer engaging brand activations and media that drive high levels of brand exposure for the client brand, whilst generating revenues for the business. 

  • Day-to-Day strategically support Head of Westfield Rise (NL, SE & DK) in the growth of Westfield Rise in the Dutch Market.

What you will be doing…  

  • Drive performance of the WR business to achieve WR NL budget

  • Hold, develop and maintain a strong client and media/agency network, identify emerging and current global trends and target relevant brand led engaging consumer experiences

  • Seek new and profitable opportunities - lever existing assets and client base to develop a stable and long-term income platforms

  • Lead by example and support Head of Westfield Rise (NL, SE & DK) in developing the skills of the team to meet the current and future needs of the business, and take us to the next level

  • Liaise with relevant departments (e.g. Marketing, Centre Management, PMPS) to lever assets, maximize income opportunities and enhance the consumer experience

  • Collaborate with the regional Heads and Director of Brand Experience and Partnerships - Europe and Director of Media - Europe to onboard new opportunities and share best practices

Account Management & Reporting

  • Ensure all sales collateral, specific information and presentations are updated in line with guidelines and industry requirements.

  • Ensure all income and pipeline are correctly reported through our internal report systems

  • Support with forecasting, reporting and annual 5YBP

  • Understand the approval/sign off process, including technical compliance, fire safety and health and safety requirements. According to the compliance book

   

What skills, experience, and knowledge will you need to be successful?  

  • Excellent sales skills within experiential and media; dealing at a national or Director level with major brands and agencies. Candidates should be able to support and challenge the current status quo and provide compelling and innovative opportunities for brand activations and partnerships.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a senior role at an agency, for a brand direct, or as a media owner with; relevant sales experience and a proven track record of selling Partnerships, Media, Experiential and/or Events

  • Ability to build on their existing network and able to open doors at the appropriate level.

  • Inspirational and creative leadership and strong people management

  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills with an excellent attention to detail

  • Driven and self-motivated to deliver results

  • Commercially minded with a strong financial acumen.

  • Experience working in a busy, demanding and pressurised environment.

  • Flexibility and willingness to embrace change and new opportunities

  • Fluent in Dutch and English
