As a Senior Network Solution Designer to join the Access Networks organization. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise and service‑provider‑grade network infrastructures. The role requires deep technical expertise in routing, switching, network segmentation, L2/L3 services, wireless infrastructure, and architectural design. The candidate must operate effectively both independently and within distributed global teams.
Responsibilities- Develop detailed High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD) for routing, switching, segmentation, Wi‑Fi, and NAC-enabled environments
- Design scalable enterprise and service provider network architecture
- Evaluate architecture changes, define resiliency requirements, and ensure alignment to Nokia standards.
- Analyze and resolve complex production network issues while ensuring reliable service operation for both Wired and Wireless network services.
- Administer service requests, execute network changes, and manage escalated incidents or priority incidents end-to-end.
- Collaborate with cross-technology teams to provide timely updates and coordinate incident resolutions.
- Identify root causes of network incidents and develop preventive actions while adhering to change management processes.
- Design and deploy wireless networks and authentication solutions, ensuring compliance with security best practices.
- Act as a L3 escalation point for L2 team members and mentor junior team members while staying updated on industry trends in network security technologies.
- Drive results and foster a strong customer focus in a dynamic, global team environment to maintain SLA compliance.
You-Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent with
12+ years of experience in network services within complex environments - Deep knowledge in Network Routing, Switching, design/configuration in Local Area Networks.
- Proficiency in authentication protocols like RADIUS, TACACS, and LDAP
- Proficiency in OSPF, ISIS, BGP, VRRP and MPLS network protocols,VPLS, VPRN and VLL services
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and network technologies and Engineer network resilience, redundancy and optimized traffic flows.
Nice-To-Have
- Knowledge of scripting and automation tools for network management
- Experience in configuration and management of Clearpass & NAC
- WLAN knowledge specifically with Aruba Access Points and Controllers
- SROS Nokia Service Router Experience
