Job Description

As a Network and Security Engineer focusing on DataCenter network and web application firewall, you play a crucial role in our team, responsible for developing, implementing, and operating our network and security infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with various teams to secure and optimize our DataCenter environments.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Planning, implementation, and operation of the network infrastructure in the DataCenter, including physical and virtual network components.
• Configuration, management, and maintenance of web application firewalls (WAF) to protect web applications against security threats.
• Conducting regular security reviews and audits to ensure compliance with security policies.
• Identification, analysis, and mitigation of network and security issues.
• Development and implementation of security measures and protocols for network management.
• Collaborating with the operations team to integrate network and security solutions.
• Using tools like MS Visio, Jira, Confluence, and DrawIO for documentation and project management.
• Conducting release tests in the lab environment to verify network and security configurations before deployment in production systems.
• Documenting proven procedures and instructions for the operations team to ensure efficient and error-free implementation of network security solutions.
• Practical experience with web application firewalls and a deep understanding of network security principles, especially with Imperva WAF technology.

Qualifications

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:

• have a completed degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable qualification,
• have solid experience in network and security engineering, preferably in DataCenter environments,
• have hands-on experience with web application firewalls and a deep understanding of network security principles, especially with Imperva WAF technology,
• are experienced in working with MS Visio, Jira, Confluence, and DrawIO,
• have strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively solve complex problems,
• are a team player with strong communication skills and a high degree of self-organization,
• speak German B2+ level AND English B1+ level

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 1850 € /brutto.
