Position Overview
The Senior Network Engineer provides Tier‑2 network engineering support across enterprise and hybrid environments, focusing on secure connectivity, VPN access, firewall administration, and DR‑related network infrastructure.
This role serves as a shared specialist supporting FortiGate firewalls, Aruba wireless environments, VPN services, and secure access dependencies, while collaborating closely with cloud, security, and ITSM teams.
Key Responsibilities
Firewall & Secure Connectivity
- Administer and support FortiGate firewalls
- Manage firewall rules, security policies, NAT, and traffic flows
- Support secure access dependencies affecting identity and cloud services
Wireless & Network Access
- Support Aruba Wi‑Fi environments, including:
- Wireless authentication
- Aruba Wi‑Fi NTLM authentication
- Connectivity performance issues
- Ensure reliable network access across client and enterprise locations
VPN & Remote Access
- Support VPN‑based access for:
- Users
- On‑site NAS systems
- Infrastructure dependencies
- Troubleshoot authentication, routing, and connectivity issues across VPN services
Network Operations & DR Support
- Provide network troubleshooting and Tier‑2 escalation support
- Support network design changes impacting availability or performance
- Coordinate and support DR and business continuity network activities
- Assist with DR testing and failover scenarios
Change Coordination
- Coordinate network‑related technical changes
- Assess impact to services, users, and security
- Collaborate with infrastructure and security engineers to ensure stability
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering
- Strong experience with FortiGate and Aruba networking
- Hands‑on VPN and secure access troubleshooting experience
- Understanding of network segmentation and security principles
- Experience supporting enterprise or managed services environments
