ECS is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to work in our North Charleston, SC office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to support the Defense Health Agency’s mission of delivering reliable, secure network connectivity to military medical facilities across the CONUS region. This role serves as the senior technical authority for enterprise LAN/WLAN/WAN operations and is critical to supporting the DoD medical community.

In this role, you will lead enterprise-level design, installation, and configuration.

What We’re Looking For:
Technical Expertise
- Mastery of networking protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, VRRP, RSTP, and more.
- Experience with Cisco environments, Windows AD, UNIX/OpenVMS, routers, switches, and WAN infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, optical testing tools (OTDR), cabling standards, and network analyzers.
- Strong background supporting DoD health IT systems (highly preferred).
- Ability to lead troubleshooting, guide junior staff, and serve as the senior authority for network decisions.
Certifications:
- CCNP – Cisco Certified Network Professional
- CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
These certifications are essential for this role and required to meet DoD 8140 cyber workforce qualification standards.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of related experience,
- OR technical/vocational certification and 10+ years of progressively complex experience.
Security Clearance:
- Active SECRET clearance required.
