With a focus on agility and forward-thinking solutions, we embrace automation and collaboration to evolve our network operations and deliver consistent value to the business.

THE JOB

We’re hiring a Senior Network Engineer to join our Network Services team. In this role, you’ll bring deep expertise in managing global data center network environments, particularly those built on ASA and FortiGate firewalls and VXLAN/EVPN architectures.

As part of the team that ensures the stability and performance of Ticketmaster’s global infrastructure, you’ll focus on monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving network issues, as well as implementing configuration changes that support evolving business needs. You’ll work across diverse platforms and environments to keep our network running smoothly.

You'll play a critical part in stabilizing and evolving the network, supporting project rollouts, platform updates, and operational improvements. Collaboration is key, and you’ll engage with peers across infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver high availability and secure connectivity.

We operate within an Agile framework and are continually modernizing our infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who excels at problem-solving, thrives in environments with interoperable and evolving platforms, and is committed to operational excellence.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Manage and deliver complex network projects by coordinating across teams to ensure timely and successful implementation of infrastructure solutions.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation to support operational consistency, simplify troubleshooting, and enable effective knowledge sharing.
  • Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across network platforms in coordination with security and compliance teams.
  • Engage in major incident response efforts in on-call rotations by participating in triage, root cause analysis, and resolution planning during critical outages.
  • Act as an escalation point for 1st-line support teams to resolve complex network issues and guide troubleshooting efforts.
  • Perform routine maintenance and implement network changes—including upgrades, configuration adjustments, and software patches—in accordance with change management policies and scheduled maintenance windows to ensure stability and compliance.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, application, and security groups to coordinate deployments, troubleshoot dependencies, and ensure end-to-end service reliability.
  • Support hardware lifecycle processes by coordinating replacements, upgrades, and decommissions to keep infrastructure current and reliable.
  • Support network audits (e.g., SOC, PCI) by providing configuration details, control validation, and remediation of any findings.
  • Track and analyze capacity metrics to support proactive planning and prevent performance bottlenecks across the environment.
  • Monitor network infrastructure to ensure continuous availability, optimal performance, and early detection of potential issues.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and introduce innovative practices into the team’s workflow.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS)

  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a strong background in data center environments.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with VXLAN/EVPN.
  • Strong experience managing and troubleshooting data center network devices.
  • Solid understanding of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF).
  • Proficiency in advanced networking concepts: MLAG, VPC, STP, HA protocols.
  • Proven expertise in configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting Fortigate and Cisco ASA/Firepower firewalls.
  • Experience with network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible, Nautobot) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Docker, Git, Terraform) is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE) are desirable but not mandatory if supported by strong experience.

YOU (BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS)

  • Team-oriented, fostering unity and collaboration.
  • Accountable, with a strong sense of ownership and integrity.
  • Innovative thinker who approaches problems creatively and strategically.
  • Proactive in identifying potential issues and opportunities for improvement.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Active listener who ensures clear understanding of instructions and feedback.
