As a Senior Network Engineer you will play a key hands-on role supporting, designing and maintaining the corporate and customer networking infrastructure. You’ll have an opportunity to drive technical stewardship in the areas of research and development, technical implementations, infrastructure support and escalation.

GreenBox is pioneering warehousing-as-a-service, offering outsourced warehousing operations and specializing in automated warehousing solutions. Our focus is on the efficient movement of goods in cases and pallets across all sectors, such as wholesale, retail, and general merchandising.

What you’ll do 

  • Review, design, and support of wired and wireless network infrastructure (LAN/WAN), WLAN, Firewalls and Cabling.

  • Work with other IT functions (Unified Communications, End User Services) to design and support systems for internal needs.

  • Research new technologies and overlay possible use of new technologies for both internal IT needs, and external customer needs.

  • Occasional interaction with customers for implementation activities.

  • Manage projects from initial scoping to deployment.

  • Troubleshoot system outages, and work with other technical staffs to resolve technical issues.

  • Solves problems relating to mission critical services to prevent problem recurrence, with the goal of automating response to all non-exceptional service conditions.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or equivalent work experience. 

  • Minimum of 6 years of network experience supporting both local and wide area networks. 

  • Experience in wired and wireless networking with a focus strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 communications.

  • Experience with SD-WAN technologies.

  • Experience setting up a high availability data center environment.

  • Experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco ISR’s and VPN connectivity.

  • Experience with Cisco AnyConnect configuration and best practices.

  • Experience with F5 LTM and GTM configuration and best practices.

  • Experience with Aruba WLAN configuration and best practices.

  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows servers, with an emphasis on Linux, virtualization technologies and network monitoring tools.

  • Experience working with data center technologies such Core Layer 3 switches including but not limited to TCP/IP, Static routes, Dynamic routing protocols. 

  • Experience working with Networking technologies and topologies (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, etc.), Aruba and Cisco switches and routers, Security Information Management, IPS/IDS, Firewalls such as Palo Alto.

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure networking.

  • Experienced with SolarWinds, Scrutinizer and Rancid tools.

  • Cisco certifications are not required but will be helpful.

  • Works well as an independent contributor, a team lead, and a Customer Service agent (for client interactions). 

  • Willingness and openness to try new technologies, methods, and processes.

  • The IT team is an open, collaborative, and high integrity environment. We seek candidates who fit into our team culture.

  • Ability to provide Tier 3 on-call support coverage for customers after hours and weekend.

Our Environment  

  • Up to 25% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
