Senior Network Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, administering, securing, and supporting EXO Edge’s enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and Microsoft Azure environments. You will play a key role in maintaining high availability, supporting a 24x7 operational environment, managing enterprise firewalls, Azure networking, and hybrid connectivity while ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 standards.

• Administer, monitor, and support enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routing, switching, enterprise Wi-Fi, and firewalls.
  
• Provide L2/L3 network support for business-critical services and troubleshoot connectivity, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and performance-related issues.
  
• Participate in on-call rotations, planned maintenance activities, and emergency network changes.
  
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement long-term solutions to improve network reliability.
  

• Manage Microsoft Azure networking components, including VNets, Subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, Route Tables, VPN Gateway, and hybrid connectivity.
  
• Support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) networking, session host connectivity, and network performance.
  
• Assist with cloud network capacity planning, optimization, and cost-efficient network design.
  

• Implement, review, and maintain firewall policies across on-premises and Azure environments under formal change management.
  
• Configure and manage enterprise firewall technologies, including VPNs, NAT, IPS, and security policies.
  
• Perform periodic firewall rule reviews, firmware upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and lifecycle management.
  
• Support security incident investigations through packet captures, network logs, and traffic analysis.
  

• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, IP address management, firewall documentation, and operational runbooks.
  
• Support ISO 27001 and SOC 2 audit activities by providing network-related evidence, change records, and configuration baselines.
  
• Identify opportunities for automation using PowerShell or Python to improve operational efficiency.
  
• Contribute to network standardization, disaster recovery readiness, and continuous service improvements.
  

• Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network administration and support.
  
• Strong expertise in enterprise firewalls such as Sophos, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent technologies.
  
• Solid understanding of Routing & Switching (VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP), LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and Enterprise Wi-Fi.
  
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Networking, including VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway/ExpressRoute, and hybrid connectivity.
  
• Experience supporting 24x7 enterprise environments with structured incident, change, and problem management processes.
  
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and audit-driven environments.
  
• Strong troubleshooting skills using packet capture, NetFlow, and network monitoring tools.
  
• Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700), or firewall vendor certifications.
  
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Microsoft 365 networking.
  
• Knowledge of PowerShell or Python for network automation.
  
• Exposure to 802.1X, Network Access Control (NAC), and Zero Trust networking principles.
