Clearwater Analytics runs a multi-region AWS platform that serves the investment accounting infrastructure our clients depend on daily. The Network Engineering team owns that connectivity end to end — cloud network architecture, transit, egress, load balancing, and the infrastructure-as-code that defines all of it.
We are a cloud-first, GitOps-driven team. Our network is not configured by hand; it is written, reviewed, and deployed as code. We're seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer who is expert at networking and fluent in the tooling and practices of a modern platform engineering organization.
Responsibilities:
Expert designing and implementing AWS and On-Prem Networking, Palo Alto, Aviatrix and Cisco network product portfolios.
Experience with AWS Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Load Balancers, BGP, and VPNs.
Experienced with IaC (Terraform, CI/CD with Gitlab, GitOps)
Experienced with AI tools such as Claude Code and Windsurf etc.
Collaborate to make critical product architecture and implementation decisions.
Anticipate and quickly adapt systems and practices to changes in load, usage, and customer requirements.
Continually create and pioneer automation and configuration management using development best practices.
Design, implement, document, and evolve best practices for system installation, configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring, and Incident response.
Participate in vendor and purchasing decisions.
Regularly provide training and support for new methods, tools, and patterns.
Build tools, frameworks, and projects that improve productivity for colleagues.
Set a positive example throughout the company for quality and responsibility.
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in production network engineering
Technical Lead experience or Senior Engineering level experience
Be self-directed and results/goal oriented.
Ability to demonstrate mature, solid, timely, and professional problem-solving, analytical and technical troubleshooting skills
