The Network & Security Platform team is responsible for all core network services and all Network Architecture & Design globally.
Some focus areas include Data Center Network, Campus Network, Network Security, Network Interconnectivity and cross platform automation and development.
We are always striving to evolve our network using the latest technologies while maintaining stability and strong standardization.
About the Role
In this role you will collaborate with external business stakeholders within the Network area as well as with multiple internal IT Infrastructure teams from areas like Hosting, Service Operations, Global Supply Chain, and other external service vendors.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer with a focus on campus networking and particularly wireless technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing and managing large-scale campus networks and wireless infrastructures. You will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our network systems, be part of a cross-function team of engineers and architects and execute strategic decisions.
This position is hybrid and preferably based at our office in Mölndal, Sweden and reports to the IT Manager of the Network & Security Platform Team.
What You Will Do

Implementing and supporting Campus networks, including wired and wireless networks.

Implementing strategic network and security designs while following industry best practices including drawings, descriptions and configurations.

Be involved in strategic evaluations, decisions, and designs regarding all campus related matters.

Maintain strong standardization to support external implementation teams and provide related documentation.

Stay updated with the latest networking technologies, standards, and best practices.

Make recommendations for network improvements and enhancements to relevant stakeholders.

Maintain complete technical documentation.

Supporting the network implementation process and managing lifecycle of network hardware and standards.

Establishing performance management metrics for networks.

Act as a SME to assist in resolving issues that tiers of support have escalated.

Participating in meetings to gather information regarding data, business and user requirements.

Mentor and train junior network engineers on network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.

You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and security of our network.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings on a high level.

Technical skills
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent education obtained through on the job training and vast experience.

Minimum of 10+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on campus networking and wireless.

Preferred certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or equivalent Technical Skills
-
Expertise in TCP/IP and radio technologies.
-
Good knowledge in routing technologies such as BGP, OSPF and EIGRP.

Expertise in wireless technologies and standards (e.g., Wi-Fi 6, WPA3).

Proficiency in configuring and managing routers and switches from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, and Arista.

Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network access control.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash for network automation.

Understanding of software defined networks (e.g. SDA) as well as network virtualization technologies.

Experience in designing and implementing redundant network solutions and disaster recovery plans.
Preferred Experience with Wireless Technologies and Vendors:

Experience with Cisco Classic, Juniper Mist, Aruba and Meraki networks for wireless solutions.

Experience with wireless networks in a manufacturing environment.

Understanding of OT environments and Purdue model.

Knowledge of Ekahau or AirMagnet for wireless site surveys and planning.

Proficiency in using tools like NetSpot for wireless network analysis.
