Reporting to the Senior Manager & the role involves
What a typical day looks like:
Strong technical expertise in areas such as Routing, Switching, Security and Traffic Optimization.
Technical expert with sharp skills in technologies such as Dynamic Routing Protocols, LAN switches, Wireless LAN technologies, Firewall configuration, SSL & IPSec VPN/DMVPN configuration, Cisco WAAS/vWAAS, AppNav Controllers, Performance Routing (PFRv3), cisco AVC.
Experience working with Network QOS
In-depth experience/operational knowledge working with SNMP, NetFlow, and Network Tools
Good knowledge and working experience on ISR & ASR with IOS XE platform.
Experience in handling complex production issues, major outages, root cause analysis (RCA) and excellent diagnostic, problem solving skills.
Effective communication with high degree of escalation management

Any graduate or post graduate
8+Years of IT experience.
5+ years of experience in WAN alone, 5 to 7 years is more preferred
L2 Network Support.
Technologies/Protocols: TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, IPsec, VPN/DMVPN, MPLS. QoS, Multicast, dot1q, STP, VLANS, VTP, HSRP, VoIP, WLAN, DNS, DHCP, ARP, SNMP, NetFlow, Cisco vPC, FCoE, Cisco Fabric Path etc."
Products: Cisco Catalyst Switches, Cisco Routers (ISR & ASR with IOS XE platform), Cisco Nexus Switches, Cisco WAN Accelerators, F5 load-balancers, Cisco ASAs, Cisco & Aruba WLAN products, Packet analysis and debugging abilities using a variety of tools (e.g. Ethereal/Wireshark, tcp dump, etc.)
Proficient knowledge in scripting (Linux/Unix Shell scripts / Python / Ruby, etc,) and Hands-on experience in Configuration Management and Deployment tools (Chef / Puppet / Ansible / Terraform, etc.)
Good knowledge in CI/CD tools (Jenkins / TeamCity / Bamboo / Travis CI, etc,) and building CI/CD pipelines good knowledge in GIT (GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket) or SCM tools (SVN, TFS, etc.)
Ready to work in shifts 24x7 support
Certifications
Cisco certification is preferred CCNA, CCNP/CCDP (Routing & Switching), CCIE.

Skills Required
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree
- 8+ years of overall IT experience
- 5+ years of WAN experience (L2 Network Support)
- Strong hands-on experience with TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, MPLS, QoS, Multicast, VLANs, STP, dot1q, VTP
- IPsec/SSL VPN, DMVPN configuration and firewall configuration experience
- Experience with Cisco ISR and ASR on IOS XE, Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms
- Experience with WAN acceleration (Cisco WAAS/vWAAS), AppNav, PFRv3, Cisco AVC
- Experience with network monitoring/telemetry: SNMP, NetFlow and packet analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump)
- Hands-on experience with F5 load balancers, Cisco ASAs, Aruba WLAN products
- Proficient scripting skills (Linux/Unix shell, Python, Ruby)
- Hands-on experience with configuration management/deployment tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines (Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, Travis CI) and SCM (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, SVN, TFS)
