The Role
Job Description
BAE Systems is searching for a Senior Network Administrator to plan, install, and support secure Cisco network hardware for LAN/WAN, Wireless networks, and UPS units.
As a Senior Network Administrator, you will have the following responsibilities:
  1. Function as a leader in small group projects and team objectives
  2. Support and maintain all network hardware (LAN and SD-WAN)
  3. Involved with major network installations and upgrades.
  4. Install and configure network communications systems including physical infrastructure build outs.
  5. Support day-to-day service requests and trouble tickets using enterprise ServiceNow ticket system.
  6. Provides specifications and detailed diagrams using standard templates for network baseline documentation.
  7. Provide cost estimates for both LAN hardware and physical cable infrastructure for supported projects using standard ROM templates
  8. Lead the planning and assessment phases of projects and assist with project design/implementation phases.
  9. Maintaining compliance documentation including both hardware and IOS standards.
  10. Use enterprise tools to help support and troubleshoot wired and wireless network infrastructure.
  11. Work directly with vendors and contractors to support project requirements.
  12. Work with customer and assist in identifying specific requirements and design moderately complex network systems.
  13. Participate with planning and assessment phases of projects and assist with project design/implementation phases

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelors degree (or at least 10 years of experience) or equivalent experience
  • Cisco certifications preferred (CCNA/CCNP)
  • Strong understanding of network architectures, protocols, and technologies.
  • Strong working experience with networking tools such as Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco Identity Service Engine(ISE), vManage, and NetBrain
  • Experience configuring Cisco switches using CLI (command line interface)
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Cisco SD-WAN routers
  • Experience installing and maintaining UPS units
  • Ability to read and understand building drawing/plans/maps
  • Knowledge of creating and maintaining network IDF/MDF documentation
  • Good understanding of DNS and DHCP technologies.
  • Good understanding of standard IT environment and infrastructure, including Cisco switches and Wireless APs including the physical infrastructure cabling.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • CCNA/CCNP certification in routing and switching preferred
  • Experience working with Cisco CLI
  • Good understanding of ServiceNow
  • Strong working experience with Cisco tools (Catalyst Center, ISE, vManage)
  • Experience managing Cisco SD-WAN environment
  • Good understanding of ServiceNow ticketing system
  • Knowledge of UPS
  • Knowledge of creating and maintaining network IDF/MDF documentation

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
