Northland Control Systems is seeking a hands-on Senior NetSuite Administrator in either Reston, Virginia or Fremont, California to support and enhance our global NetSuite ERP environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day system administration with process improvement, troubleshooting, and collaboration across multiple business functions.

As the primary internal resource for NetSuite administration, you will partner closely with Finance, Operations, Procurement, HR, and IT teams to ensure the platform effectively supports business operations and reporting needs across the organization.

Our NetSuite environment includes both standard NetSuite functionality and customized workflows, scripts, configurations, and integrations designed to support our operational requirements. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working within a customized ERP environment and can help support, troubleshoot, and continuously improve the system alongside internal stakeholders and third-party partners.

What You’ll DoNetSuite Administration & Support
  • Administer and maintain the NetSuite ERP platform, including user setup, permissions, and system access.
  • Configure and maintain workflows, saved searches, dashboards, reports, forms, and system customizations.
  • Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for NetSuite users across multiple business functions.
  • Support sandbox testing, release validation, and system upgrades.
  • Maintain documentation related to system configurations, workflows, and user procedures.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with NetSuite support and external vendors as needed.
Business Process Improvement
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Support automation initiatives and workflow optimization efforts.
  • Assist departments with reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and saved searches.
  • Participate in testing and implementation activities for new features, modules, and process improvements.
  • Help maintain data integrity and support established governance practices.
Integrations & Technical Coordination
  • Support integrations between NetSuite and other business systems.
  • Assist with data imports, exports, and ongoing system maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and third-party partners on troubleshooting and enhancement requests.
  • Support basic scripting and workflow customization efforts where appropriate.
User Training & Collaboration
  • Provide guidance and support to end users on NetSuite functionality and best practices.
  • Develop user reference materials and support onboarding activities.
  • Act as a collaborative partner between business teams and technical resources to support practical system solutions.
What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of NetSuite administration experience in a business environment.
  • Strong understanding of ERP business processes, including:
    • Order-to-Cash
    • Procure-to-Pay
    • General Ledger
    • Financial Reporting
  • Experience with NetSuite configuration, saved searches, workflows, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Experience supporting end users and troubleshooting ERP-related issues.
  • Experience working within customized NetSuite environments, including workflows, scripts, integrations, and non-standard business processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot both standard NetSuite functionality and customized system behaviors.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NetSuite Administrator Certification.
  • Experience supporting global or multi-entity operations.
  • Experience with SuiteFlow, SuiteAnalytics, and basic SuiteScript functionality.
  • Experience with integrations, APIs, or middleware platforms such as Celigo or Boomi.
  • Experience supporting Finance and operational teams in a project-based or service-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Accounting, or related field.
Working Environment

This position is performed in an office setting. Hybrid work options may be available based on location and business needs.

Due to Northland’s global operations and support requirements across multiple time zones, occasional work outside of normal business hours may be required.
