Senior .NET Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior .NET Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

We are looking for a Senior .NET Engineer to join a cross-functional team that is driving the  Retail Media offering within our client's team. Retail Media are responsible for significant revenue generation within the company, and we’re expanding our engineering teams to meet our commercial and technology targets. As a .NET Software Engineer, you will contribute to our architecture and technical deliveries by writing highly scalable and testable code, supporting your peers, and helping improve ideas and approaches to deliver high-quality solutions. We work closely with a large number of other teams, with inner-sourced development as our standard way of working. Ownership is one of our core engineering principles — we write it and we own it. Engineers are expected to take responsibility for their work, including being part of an on-call rota to ensure the reliability of the systems we build.

Responsibilities:

These are some of the key components to the position:

• Play a key role in planning, designing and developing scalable solutions using .NET technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineers and teams, as well as with key stakeholders, to deliver high-quality user experiences
• Participate in our on-call rota, helping to maintain the reliability and operational excellence of the systems we build
• Work independently on well-defined problem areas, taking responsibility for delivering robust solutions within a workstream

Requirements:

• Proficiency in C# with a strong understanding of the .NET ecosystem
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AWS (EKS, S3, CDN, networking), though experience with Azure or GCP is also acceptable
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)
• Experience working with NoSQL databases (e.g., DocumentDB or similar)
• Solid experience in building RESTful APIs
• Experience designing and implementing event-driven and microservices-based architectures
• Practical experience with messaging systems such as SNS/SQS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
• Experience developing highly scalable and distributed systems
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit, MSTest)
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex systems
• Basic knowledge of frontend technologies such as React or Vue
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Experience with Snowplow
