Job Description
GolfNow/NBC Sports Digital are looking to hire a Senior .NET DevOps Engineer. You'll be joining a dedicated, ambitious, and diverse team who are focused on delivering operational excellence inside the NBC Sports Next organization. The Senior .NET DevOps Engineer will be a key member of our DevOps Team, helping to build and support the core infrastructure of the GolfNow Platform services and products through activities and key responsibilities.
Job Duties

  • Build and manage on-premise and public cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and aid resolution of production incidents.
  • Setup monitoring and alerting solutions to monitor our applications in production.
  • Participate in sustainable on-call schedule.
  • Work with the DevOps team to champion new processes, tools and technologies in collaboration with Engineering.
  • Participate and lead Proof of Concepts for new approaches/tooling.
  • Working closely with the NBC Sports Next Cyber Security Team to maintain and improve the security of the Platform.


Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years Windows Server administration experience.
  • 2+ years production experience configuring web servers e.g. IIS, Nginx, Apache.
  • 5+ years working as an SRE/DevOps/Operations Engineer.
  • Production experience with CI/CD pipelines, e.g. Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab CI, Octopus, GitHub Actions.
  • Proficient in a scripting language, e.g. PowerShell, BASH, Python.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
  • Proven ability to take project requirements and build scalable, robust and cost-effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A team-oriented attitude and seemingly endless intellectual curiosity.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with APM and alerting tools such as Datadog/OpsGenie/PagerDuty.
  • Experience with software development and supporting developers on .NET/SQL Server stacks.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as a Code tools e.g. Terraform / CloudFormation.
  • Experience with Redis, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ and MongoDB.
  • Experience with WAF/CDN services such as Cloudflare/Cloudfront/Akamai/Fastly.
  • Hands on experience with public cloud providers; AWS is preferred.
  • 2+ years working with Kubernetes in a production environment.
  • 2+ years Linux System administration experience (Redhat or Debian variants).
