Copenhagen, Denmark
We believe access to global capital markets is not only for the privileged few. Our vision is to enable people to fulfill their financial aspirations to make an impact. That’s why we use the power of technology to deliver clients what they need, when they need it in a user-friendly and personalized experience.
About the job
We are looking for a Senior Backend .NET Developer to join our Platform Servers team located in our wonderful office located in Hellerup (a suburb of Copenhagen). You will help us strengthen our fintech platform, where reliability, correctness, and long-term maintainability are of utmost importance. Your job will be building and maintaining integrations in backend systems, developing secure APIs, and ensuring the stability of services.
You will work on systems that must remain operational, auditable, and scalable over long lifecycles, balancing new feature development with maintenance and continuous improvement of existing services.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C# and .NET framework
Build, evolve, and support OpenAPI‑based services used by internal teams and external partners
Take responsibility for production systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident follow‑ups
Leverage the power of AI tooling and agentic engineering techniques
Maintain and extend Kafka‑based event streaming solutions with a focus on reliability and data consistency
Work with SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and traceability
Improve exiting code and systems through refactoring and incremental modernization
Collaborate with product, compliance, and DevOps teams to ensure systems meet fintech regulatory and operational requirements
Contribute to architectural decisions with an emphasis on stability, scalability, and operational excellence
How do you succeed
You know how to take ownership, from design through production, where uptime of services is not an afterthought. You approach existing code with pragmatism and are able to communicate clearly with stakeholders across product, compliance, and engineering, surfacing risks and trade-offs early. You stay curious about the domain and the platform - trying to understand why a service exists and how it fits into the broader picture.
Your profile
You are a seasoned backend engineer who thrives in complex environments where uptime and data correctness are a first-class citizen. You've built and maintained systems that real businesses depend on, and you understand that great software is measured not just by what it does, but by how confidently it can be operated, audited, and evolved. You're energized by hard problems — making a critical path more resilient or modernizing a legacy service without disrupting what's already working. You bring both technical depth and the judgment to know when "good enough" is the right call and when it isn't!
Required Qualifications
Extensive experience as a Senior .NET Developer working with C#
Strong background in building and maintaining RESTful APIs
Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases in production environments
Solid experience using Entity Framework / EF Core
Experience with Kafka or similar messaging/event‑driven platforms
Proven experience maintaining backend services that run in the cloud (AKS) as well as on-premises (Kubernetes on-prem, Windows Server)
Strong understanding of system observability, debugging, and performance optimization. We use the ELK stack together with Prometheus and Grafana
Experience with Azure DevOps Server or other CI/CD pipelines in tightly regulated environments
Ability to work with existing systems while introducing improvements safely and incrementally behind feature flags
Big Plus / Nice to Have
Background in white‑labeling and multi‑tenant B2B fintech solutions
Experience using AI tooling to accelerate development tasks (a.k.a. agentic development)
Experience managing large configurations and deployments
Familiarity with compliance‑driven development (e.g., auditability, traceability, rollback safety)
Experience operating systems with high availability and low tolerance for downtime
What We Offer
Work on systems where quality and reliability truly matter
Real ownership of services across their full lifecycle
An engineering culture that values clean code, maintainability, and correctness
Usage of AI and agenting development tools (Copilot, Opencode, etc with modern models)
Competitive compensation and benefits
Opportunities to influence platform stability, design of services and architecture
