Senior .NET Desktop Developer

About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced software developer to help us develop desktop applications that enable our customers to evaluate and configure our products. This role is ideal for an individual who can communicate effectively with the team to identify solutions and then implement those solutions independently. The role includes everything from working with USB devices via an API or Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), architecting and implementing business logic as well as implementing the UI using the Model View ViewModel (MVVM) paradigm. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Create novel functionality to enable configuration of new hardware by customers and internal engineers. 
  • Help with the development of our cross platform, flagship desktop evaluation environment. 
  • Work with domain experts to help them develop hardware specific plug-ins and foster a collaborative ecosystem for developers to contribute and build on the core framework and functionality. 
  • Work with the team to identify problems to design, and/or implement solutions. 

Required Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of professional experience developing products using C# or equivalent
  • Experience with MVVM using modern UI frameworks (cross platform experience a bonus)
  • Strong knowledge of Git and common Git merge strategies and debugging

Preferred Qualifications 

Candidate should have experience with some or all the following: 

  • ReactiveExtensions and ReactiveUI 
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) with GitHub Actions 
  • Experience with Mac or Linux, and especially deployment to Mac or Linux
