WHO WE ARE:

Aviatrix® is pioneering the Cloud Native Security Fabric — the architecture the Containment Era requires. The Cloud Native Security Fabric governs every workload communication path across every cloud, every VPC, every Kubernetes cluster, and every serverless function, from a single policy plane. One rule. Universal propagation. Enforced at the workload, not at a chokepoint. Trusted by more than 500 of the world's leading enterprises. For more information, visit aviatrix.ai.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Member of Technical Staff (Sr. MTS) to join our Cloud Test team. In this role, you will participate in the full software testing lifecycle — from product design reviews and test planning to hands-on test execution and automation development. You will work across key domains including cloud networking, security, and performance & scalability, helping to ensure our cloud products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

This role is ideal for engineers who have a solid foundation in one or more of these domains, are passionate about automation, and are eager to leverage modern AI tools to amplify their testing effectiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with software engineers to understand product requirements and contribute to design reviews from a testability perspective
  • Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases covering functional, end-to-end, security, and performance/scalability scenarios in cloud environments
  • Efficiently write and maintain automated test cases using Python or Go, ensuring comprehensive test coverage across functional, end-to-end, security, and performance scenarios
  • Conduct performance and scalability testing using tools such as iperf to identify bottlenecks and validate network behavior under load
  • Perform or support security-focused testing, including validation of network segmentation, access control policies, and encryption configurations
  • Assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex networking and cloud infrastructure issues
  • Leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, LLM-based assistants) to accelerate test script development, log analysis, and test coverage enhancement
  • Maintain clear and organized testing documentation, test reports, and defect tracking records

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in software quality engineering, test engineering, or a related technical role
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, routing protocols such as BGP, VPN, firewall concepts)
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
  • Proficiency in Python or Go for test automation and scripting
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across engineering teams with moderate supervision

PREFERRED

  • Experience in one or more of the following domains:
    • Networking & Routing: Practical knowledge of BGP, or cloud networking
    • Security: Familiarity with network security concepts such as zero-trust, IAM policies, encryption, or vulnerability testing
    • Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)
    • Performance & Scale: Experience with performance benchmarking tools (e.g., iperf, ethr, cyperf) and scalability test methodologies
  • Experience using AI/ML-powered development tools to improve coding efficiency, test generation, or log analysis
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
  • A curious and proactive learner who can quickly ramp up on new technologies
  • A collaborative team player who communicates clearly and contributes constructively to design discussions
  • An engineer who embraces AI as a productivity multiplier — not just a buzzword, but a practical tool in your daily workflow
  • Someone who takes ownership of quality and is not afraid to raise issues early and often
