Senior Motion Graphics Designer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Motion Graphics Designer to join our Creative Studio in Berlin. In this role, you will help drive the N26 creative vision forward and play an integral role in developing and delivering world-class creative executions globally. This is a position for a talented, ambitious senior motion designer who wants to continue growing their craft while shaping the future of motion at N26.

• Excel in the craft of animation — bringing nuance, expert knowledge of animation principles, and a strong command of industry-standard tools.
• Translate design concepts and briefs into visually stunning 2D and 3D motion work.
• Create high-quality, design-driven animations with exceptional attention to detail.
• Produce sophisticated motion graphic sequences containing 2D and 3D elements, including product renders, environment animations, and UI interactions.
• Develop and integrate 3D assets into motion projects, ensuring seamless cohesion across all media.
• Work with AI tools to enhance workflows, ideation, and creative output — and stay up to date with the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
• Establish new processes and workflows while optimising existing ones for smooth production operations.
• Manage and deliver multiple projects concurrently.
• Seek creative excellence and continually look for opportunities to raise the bar.
• Stay informed about industry trends in both 2D and 3D motion — continually honing your craft and contributing forward-thinking solutions.

Background: 

• A 4-year University Degree in Motion Graphics, Design, 3D Animation, or a related field.
• 6+ years of motion design experience, working for a company, agency, or similar creative environment.
• Extensive experience working on global consumer brands.
• Best in class portfolio and strong showreel showcasing high-calibre 2D and 3D motion projects.

Skills: 

• Proven track record of delivering functional, impactful motion design across OOH, social, content, performance, and lifecycle channels.
• Strong conceptual thinking — able to bring meaningful innovation to design and storytelling.
• Experience working with global brands and international creative teams on integrated campaigns.
• Highly organised with superb asset management habits.
• Prior advertising agency experience preferred; experience with lifestyle brands is a strong plus.
• Ability to function independently while being an excellent collaborator.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop) and related plugins.
• Experience with Figma.
• 3D software experience is a must — Cinema 4D and Redshift
• Skilled in creating storyboards, layouts, and animatics.
• Able to move quickly without compromising quality.
• Ability to mentor and coach junior members of the team.
• A strong reel demonstrating previous professional work.
• Fluency in English.
