But unlike software (with observability platforms such as AppDynamics and Datadog), construction teams lack automated feedback loops to help projects stay on schedule and on budget. Without this observability, construction wastes a whopping $3T per year because glitches aren’t detected fast enough to recover.

The Role
As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you will play a crucial role in revolutionizing construction technology through cutting-edge mobile applications that seamlessly integrate with 360 cameras for Reality Capture. Your mission is to push the boundaries of mobile innovation by transforming smartphones into powerful tools for capturing, processing, and visualizing job site data in real time. You'll collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, and CV/ML teams to deliver seamless, responsive, and visually compelling user experiences. Your work will directly influence how foremen, project managers, and executives make mission-critical decisions on job sites worldwide.

What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native and native iOS (Swift) for high performance and reliability.
- Design and implement mobile architectures that integrate with Doxel’s backend APIs and data pipelines.
- Interface with 360 cameras for the purposes of Reality Capture.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers to deliver end-to-end features.
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and responsiveness, especially for data-intensive workflows in Pacific Standard Time (PST) environments or similar real-time constraints.
- Ensure robust testing, monitoring, and debugging practices to maintain app quality.
- Mentor engineers and promote best practices in mobile development.
What You Bring to Doxel
- 5+ years of professional experience in mobile development with a focus on iOS (Swift) and React Native.
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture, performance optimization, and state management.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, RESTful APIs, and modern front-end development tools and practices.
- Experience with native Android development is a huge plus.
- Experience with ARKit is a huge plus.
- Independent, good problem solver—able to debug and fix issues quickly and efficiently.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment practices for mobile apps.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building user-centric applications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
