ENGINEERING - EPIC GAMES SERVICESWhat We Do
Driving the plug-in power behind Unreal Engine 5. We bridge connections for licensees and our own internal game teams to online services. This allows games like Fortnite to utilize a combination of platform online services as well as Epic’s own online services to build cross-platform online features. Login, parties, voice chat, matchmaking, purchasing, cloud storage, and analytics are just a few examples of online features that our Online Game Services team helps games utilize.
What You'll Do
Epic Games is searching for experienced iOS engineers to support development of new exciting iOS applications that support Epic’s player and developer platforms. Our team is composed of developers with a range of expertise across various mobile platforms and technologies. We build robust high quality applications that we put in players hands across the globe. In this role, you’ll work closely with a wide range of internal teams to build and ship a brand new Epic experience for iOS from the ground up. Additionally, you’ll work closely with other mobile platform developers and contribute to core multiplatform technologies. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of iOS best practices, an eye for architecture and maintainability, and a drive to push the industry.
In this role, you will
- Ensure the utilization of the latest mobile technology to build user-friendly high-performance mobile applications
- Design, review, and oversee the implementation of Epic’s latest endeavors in iOS
- Performance improvement and security hardening of applications and infrastructure
- Providing input for production/live release control process
- Communicate technical risks across the group
What we're looking for
- Experience building a modern iOS application from scratch
- Deep knowledge of Swift and SwiftUI
- Passion for building and maintaining consumer-facing mobile applications
- Open to working with multiple languages and platforms
- Capable of driving a feature through all stages of the software development lifecycle
- Works well in an ambiguous environment with dynamic requirements
- Writing and maintaining Unit and integration tests
Nice to have
- Cross platform knowledge and experience
- Experience working with CI/CD
- Snapshot Testing experience on iOS
- Experience writing and maintaining scripts
- Experience with C++ and Objective-C
This role is open to multiple locations across the US (including CA, NYC, & WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
New York City Base Pay Range
$220,328—$323,147 USD
California Base Pay Range
$193,888—$284,369 USD
Washington Base Pay Range
$176,262—$258,518 USD
