We’re seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Developer to join our engineering team in our Boston office. The ideal candidate has a strong background in both iOS and Android development (or deep expertise in one and motivation to learn the other). We’re building an end-to-end encryption product, and our mobile apps are core to this offering. This position is hybrid, with two in-office days a week.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain product features for our iOS and Android
applications. - Apply best practices for mobile app architecture, performance, and
maintainability. - Write high-quality, testable, and reusable code using mobile best practices.
- Diagnose and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
- Contribute to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes for mobile
applications.
- BS or MS in Computer Science / Computer Engineering, or equivalent
experience. - Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and
algorithms. - 5+ years of experience building and deploying mobile applications for
commercial products. - Strong understanding of native mobile development using Swift for iOS,
and/or Kotlin for Android. - Experience with mobile networking, RESTful APIs, and WebSocket
communication. - Experience using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks (e.g.,
Quick). - Understanding of App Store and Google Play deployment processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with cryptography and privacy-focused architectures, or a strong
motivation to learn. - Familiarity with functional reactive programming (e.g., ReactiveX).
- Previous work with data synchronization, across users and across devices.
