We need an innovative Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our growing team. While we have a team in the US, this role will be the founding ML engineer in APAC and thus can help set the direction and vision for ML in the region.
Who You Are
- 6-8+ years of experience building machine learning models for business applications
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a mix of startup and large scale experience, bonus points for being a co-founder
- Advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, or similar) and experience with applications
- Deep understanding of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, or similar) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
- Strong communication and presentation skills with a natural executive presence
- Expert level fluency using languages like Python & SQL to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
- Working knowledge of common web/mobile architectures, data pipelines, CI/CD processes, etc.
- Strong understanding of DBT or other similar data transformation/organization methodologies
- Experience with BI tools (e.g. Mode, Tableau, Looker)
- B.Tech/ B.E or BS/B.Sc in Math, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning algorithms to solve complex problems in real-time scheduling and workforce optimization
- Initially, you’ll work closely with a US-based team for 1-2 quarters to build knowledge before immersing more in APAC-focused projects. Flexibility to work some mornings or evenings will be necessary during this period.
- Impact key company objectives by working closely with Product to refine our roadmap
- Build/maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor the performance of our products
- Gather, clean, and prepare large datasets for machine-learning models
- Build and maintain machine learning pipelines that are robust, scalable, and efficient
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into production systems
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of machine learning models and make continuous improvements
