Our Entertainment and Inspiration Team will set out to solve major customer challenges around inspiration & entertainment in fashion & lifestyle e-commerce as well as helping our customers navigate the challenge of overwhelming choice in our ecosystem!

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

Consistently ship working, testable, maintainable, readable code/data to production in small and safe iterations. You build solutions that are performant, scalable and fulfil the set SLOs of the product

Own and operate backend microservices on top of Kubernetes and AWS

Build and improve reliable data-pipelines, enable data analysis and monitoring, and build reliable ML Products together with Applied Scientists. Be a strong owner for ML products, data and dashboards.

Participate in A/B test design/alignment, planning.

Prototype, productionize and run a large scale real-time machine learning system

Generate actionable insights from the data of 51+M customers

Understand and design an ML product that solves real customer needs

Make a positive impact on our engineering culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and drive technical discussions within the team and beyond
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

You have experience with real-world machine learning or advanced analytics
-
Experience working with data scientists to know the process of experimentation to productionisation. This includes basic knowledge of machine learning concept such as training vs inference, backtesting, model monitoring

Strong software development engineering skills to design effective solutions for machine learning operationalisation and maintenance in large-scale production environments (data engineering, model serving, monitoring).

Good skills in Python & SQL, Airflow and Spark, hands-on experience with Databricks, Git, working with cloud services (e.g. S3, sagemaker, dynamodb etc.). Curious about learning new technologies. Scala is a plus.

Team player, can raise the engineering bar (live high challenge and high support), keep it simple sherlock, strong sense of ownership and dedication, proactive, disagree and commit

Experience building recommender, personalisation or ad ranking systems is a plus
