YOUR IMPACT
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Migration Consultant to lead and execute complex data conversion projects for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workload automation, scripting, and problem solving with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
As a Migrations Team Lead, you will serve as a player/coach, combining hands-on technical delivery with leadership responsibilities. You will lead by example guiding a team through complex projects while ensuring adherence to best practices, processes, and procedures. This role is pivotal in driving successful project outcomes and laying the groundwork for scaling the organization. You will also mentor team members, foster their growth, and ensure they are equipped to handle increasing responsibilities.

Provide technical expertise and leadership throughout the migration process, from initial assessment to post-migration support.

Lead and mentor other engineers and technical staff involved in migration projects.

Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in migration technologies and practices.

Perform hands-on migration tasks, including data preprocessing, conversion, post-processing, and validation, and direct others as appropriate.

Document migration processes, configurations, and any issues encountered during the project.

Identify needed tool improvements and open necessary JIRA tickets.

Represent PS in establishing and driving priorities with the tools development team.

Manage multiple migration projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time completion.

Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Coordinate assignment and redeployment of SaaS conversion/validation environments to active conversion projects.

Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to streamline migration efforts

Coordinate with stakeholders, including project and internal teams, to ensure all aspects of the migration are aligned with business goals.

Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and prepare detailed post-migration reports.

Troubleshoot complex migration-related issues and work with clients and internal teams to resolve them quickly.
YOUR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role focused on migrations or ETL projects.

Experience with Workload Automation Tools like Control-M, Autosys, UC-4, and RMJ is highly desirable

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.

Demonstrated ability to decompose complex problems into tasks for execution and to lead engineers and customers through the reassembly of the solution.

Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Proficiency in one or more programming scripting languages. JAVA, python, PowerShell, etc.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
