About the project
A “roguelite” real time strategy game with city-building elements and immersive bits, in which you must manage a floating city on an ever-changing alien ocean.

Responsibilities:

  • Balance game economies, progression systems, characters, weapons, items, and other gameplay systems
  • Create and maintain comprehensive game design documentation (GDDs, feature specifications, balancing documents)
  • Propose engaging and creative gameplay features that will improve user experience and engagement
  • Playtesting and design debugging
  • Analyze player behavior, game metrics, and feedback to drive design decisions
  • Idea generation
  • Own features throughout the entire development cycle, from concept to release and post-launch support
  • Work directly with the team to ensure that the product is of the highest quality

Requirements: 

  • 4+ years of overall experience in the game design area
  • At least 2 released projects
  • Excellent knowledge of mathematics, probability theory, and combinatorics with examples of projects
  • Understanding of different game genre mechanics, core gameplay and metagame
  • Good writing skills and ability to describe thoughts in a structured but simple manner
  • Practical, hands-on experience building game economies and balancing formulas for Roguelite and city-builder frameworks
  • Passion for making and playing games
  • English level: B1 +

Good to have:

  • Mathematics education
  • Experience designing and balancing complex combat, economic, or strategic systems 
  • Experience working on sci-fi projects and a deep understanding of the genre's characteristics
  • Knowledge and deep analysis of trending games on PC
  • Practical experience with Unreal Engine 5
  • Copywriting skills
  • Advanced knowledge Excel/Google Sheets
