Senior Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager

Description

Keep tens of thousands of mission endpoints patched, compliant and running. QBE is looking for a Senior Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to join our team in Key West, FL. You'll own the MECM infrastructure behind a DoD enterprise, from patching and software distribution to OS deployment and reporting, and be the expert others turn to when endpoints get complicated. This position is on-site 5 days a week.

What you will do

• Infrastructure Engineering: Architect, configure and maintain the MECM (formerly SCCM) infrastructure, including Primary Sites, Management Points and Distribution Points, so it performs across distributed and bandwidth-constrained networks.
• Patch Management & Compliance: Lead the enterprise patching strategy for Microsoft OS and third-party applications, and close vulnerabilities fast enough to keep the enterprise compliant with strict security requirements (e.g., STIGs, IAVMs).
• Software Distribution: Package, test and deploy complex applications, updates and custom PowerShell scripts to tens of thousands of endpoints, with users barely noticing.
• Operating System Deployment (OSD): Engineer and maintain the baseline configurations, task sequences, boot images and driver packages behind zero-touch provisioning, bare-metal imaging and in-place Windows upgrades.
• Reporting & Analytics: Build advanced custom SQL queries, SSRS reports and CMPivot queries that give leadership real-time visibility into endpoint health, compliance and deployment status.
• Mentorship & Tier 3 Support: Be the final escalation point for complex endpoint issues, write the technical documentation and SOPs the team relies on, and mentor junior system administrators.

Requirements

What you bring
Must have

• A BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.  A bachelor’s degree can be substituted for additional years of experience.
• o High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree
• o A candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.
• Nine (9) or more years of relevant Systems Administrator experience.
• Five years of position-specific experience managing MECM/SCCM
• Expertise in server hardware, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and network infrastructure. Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash). 
• DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II certification within 3 months of commencing work.

What makes you stand out

• Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or similar certification
• Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
• Knowledge of Intune, Autopilot, and hybrid device management strategies
• Experience with vulnerability remediation and DISA STIG compliance processes

Clearance

• Minimum of an active SECRET clearance to start
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Compensation & Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000.00 - $100,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (for remote opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
