  • Ensure manufacturing teams agree to and can effectively assume ownership of measurement and quality processes at production launch.
  • Lead the launch of new products and features with measurable improvements in Cost of Quality (COQ) compared with current production.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to integrate the Measurement System Alignment process into the iNPI process.
  • Develop, publish, and release draft Standard Instructions (SIs) for equipment qualification.
  • Create and maintain metrology standards and update iNPI and C-change checklists to strengthen measurement-system requirements.
  • Lead metrology work-order meetings across product lines and identify opportunities to improve process effectiveness, responsiveness, and quality.
  • Serve as the bridge between Product Design and Manufacturing to ensure dimensional and measurement issues are identified and resolved early, minimizing launch surprises.
  • Provide technical leadership and in-depth expertise in the investigation, development, procurement, qualification, and implementation of manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Work effectively with salaried and hourly personnel to understand operator needs, program requirements, and business objectives.
Current Production Support
  • Apply the same metrology, dimensional quality, and process-improvement leadership used in NPI to current-production and new-part/product PCTO-related projects introduced at CIB.
  • Develop robust processes for reviewing production measurement data and use the results to drive improved product drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure Manufacturing Control Plans (MCPs) appropriately address and meet drawing specifications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve dimensional capability, measurement processes, tooling, fixtures, gages, and manufacturing methods based on production data.
  • Provide technical support for complex dimensional and measurement issues impacting production quality and performance.
Advanced Digital Scanning & Measurement
