Senior Messaging Platform SRE
- Design, deploy, and operate enterprise messaging platforms, including IBM MQ and Amazon MQ, across AWS environments
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to standardize and automate platform provisioning
- Develop, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps
- Ensure platform availability, scalability, and performance through Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
- Monitor systems, manage incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and lead postmortem reviews
- Operate and troubleshoot Linux-based environments, including performance tuning and system administration
- Apply networking, replication, and multi-datacenter design principles to support resilient architectures
- Manage SSL certificates and enforce secure communications across messaging platforms
- Collaborate with application and platform teams to deliver secure, highly available messaging services
- Support change management processes and tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Drive continuous improvement in performance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence
- Document technical solutions and communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders
- 5+ years of experience administering MQ messaging platforms (e.g., IBM MQ, Amazon MQ)
- Experience designing and operating messaging platforms in AWS environments
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools)
- Strong Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Zabbix required)
- Knowledge of networking, replication, and distributed/multi-datacenter systems
- Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and production support
- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal)
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and ability to prioritize tasks in dynamic environments
- Ability to work effectively in international, distributed teams
- Experience with Grafana and/or Prometheus for observability
- AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
- Experience with hybrid and cloud-native architectures
- Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM frameworks and tools such as ServiceNow
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Avada Infrared360
- Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business needs
