UCT is looking for a talented Senior MES Engineer to join us in Singapore!
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain MES solutions, process/operation automation in manufacturing (Industrial 4.0) and related interfaces integrated MES with ERP system (e.g. SAP) and shop floor automation (e.g. IoT)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing processes, identify system requirements, and deliver tailored IT solutions.
- Prepare user requirement, convert to technical specification & liaise with development team on solution delivery
- Document technical solutions, SOPs, and user manuals to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.
- Provide training to business users, perform IT Acceptance Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on MES/MES Extended solutions.
- Develop scripts, services, and dashboards to support manufacturing KPIs, traceability, and data-driven decision-making.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in manufacturing applications, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
- Support manufacturing system upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
Skills / Knowledge
- Manufacturing process, MES and extended MES solution know-how
- Medium/Strong programming skills in languages such as C# .NET, Javascript, Python, or similar
- Strong in SQL/Oracle database and store procedure
- Experienced with Web/Window application, API
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
- Master Degree/Bachelor's Degree/Professional Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 3~8 years of experience in software development or system analysis within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Know-how on Change Management Process, System Development Life Cycle
- Capable of leading and influencing a virtual team composed of members from diverse organizations (Operation team, Product/Process/Production/Quality engineering team).
