POSITION OVERVIEW
The Mechanical Engineering Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating a team of Mechanical Engineers and mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion for industrial equipment manufactured in Van Wert, Ohio. This role involves collaborating with engineers, designers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met within scope, on time, and within budget. The coordinator ensures that all mechanical engineering processes are aligned with company standards and safety regulations.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES / DUTIES
- Identifies resource needs and works with manager to secure resources.
- Approves timelines and verify quoted hours match timelines.
- Assigns lead engineers and completes project KPI tracking.
- Ensures equipment meets Alliance and Customer Standards.
- Works with managers and HR to maintain robust training systems.
- Assists with on boarding new hires.
- Leads weekly L10 meetings.
- Maintains department schedules per timelines and resource availability.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external contractors.
- Conducts yearly performance reviews with direct reports.
- Reviews quotes prior to submittal.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree may be preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with 2-3 years in a leadership or project management role.
- Proficiency in mechanical design software (AutoCAD, Solidworks).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate teams.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, standards, and practices
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, ANSI).
