The Role

Title:

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Reporting to the General Manager, the individual will work within the Global Advisory & Consulting team, in close collaboration with the organization’s vast engineering, technology, and scientific resource base. The successful candidate will be leading various offshore energy storage projects and have primary responsibility for the delivery of studies from concept through to Pre-Feed with a focus on offshore energy storage projects. Additionally, the candidate shall support the group’s overall sales effort through proposal/tender preparation, contract negotiation, and other client interfacing activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparing technical specifications and data sheets for static and rotating equipment and packages, such as pumps, compressors, High Pressure process vessels, Separators, Air Coolers, S&T Heat Exchangers, etc
  • Responsible for complete Requisitioning of speciality rotating and static equipment and packages
  • Coordinates work with inter-disciplines, client and suppliers
  • Responsible for the technical evaluation of Bids, prepares technical bid tabulation reports by interacting with Suppliers, clients and inter disciplines
  • Participates HAZID, HAZOP, Model Review studies for packages, coordinates and close out Mechanical related issues
  • Performs vendor document and design reviews for speciality static equipment and packages
  • Example deliverables includes:
    • Tie-ins list
    • Mechanical Equipment List
    • Equipment Data Sheets
    • Mechanical BOQ / MTO
    • Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) inputs

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering with minimum 7 years of experience
  • Possess relevant experience working on Feasibility Study/ Pre-FEED/ FEED projects with reputed International clients
  • Experience in Onshore (LNG, power, CCS, refinery, petrochemical, bio-fuels, renewable, low carbon fuels) and Offshore projects
  • Shall be well conversant with International Industry Codes such as European Codes, Pressure Equipment Directives (PED), CE marking, ASME, API etc
  • Possess good communication & coordination skills
  • Ability to understand client and project requirements and meet the project expectations in terms of quality and schedule
