Senior Mechanical Engineer

Salary: £41,669.68 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week

What you'll be doing;

• Lead and supervise a team of mechanical engineers and fitters across multiple sites

• Perform complex asset overhauls and mechanical repairs on dewatering equipment

• Manage day-to-day supervision of employees and subcontractors under CDM regulations

• Serve as primary point of contact for customers and coordinate with on-site teams

• Complete necessary documentation including permits, test reports, and safety paperwork

• Participate in standby coverage and demonstrate flexibility for travel requirements

• Maintain and repair dewatering equipment at sewage and water treatment facilities

• Ensure efficient operations while minimizing environmental impact and following safety protocols

What we're looking for;

• Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial environment and leading mechanical installations

• Proven track record in asset replacement and maintenance of water/sewage treatment equipment

• NVQ Level 3 or recognized apprenticeship in mechanical engineering maintenance

• Valid UK Driving License and Compex certification

• Current SSSTS Card and Confined Space certification

• First Aid and IOSH certifications required

• Additional qualifications desired: Clean Water, SHEA Water, DSEAR Awareness

• Preferred certifications: PASMA and CSCS Gold Card
