⏰ Start date: ASAP
📍Zürich, Switzerland (on-site, remote not possible)
🦾 Full-time (100%)
You’ll ideate, design, manufacture, and deploy core mechanical systems on our robot. By joining the first team in the world desiging from first principles how a robot should clean commercial spaces, you are going to heavily rely on your creativity and determination to solve problems in unconventional ways.
What you’ll be doing:
Build custom electromechanical systems from a robot arm and grippers to automatic tool changers, to a docking station
Build cleaning-specific mechanical systems like cleaning end-effector tools and fluid systems
Drive our HIL testing efforts to prove effectiveness and durability of our mechanical systems
Contribute to the industrialization efforts required to manufacture hundreds of robots
What you should have:
3+ years in a professional Mechanical Engineering environment, preferably Robotics, Automotive, or Aerospace
Strong CAD modeling experience (e.g. Onshape)
Experience with metals and plastics manufacturing processes
Experience in robotics actuation systems (e.g. BLDC motors, gearboxes, encoders, torque sensors)
Experience in fluid systems (e.g. water pumps, valves, nozzles)
Experience writing basic software for test benches independently (Python, C++)
These skills are a plus:
Experience building custom PCBs
You have built articulated robots before (e.g. a robot arm or robot leg, quadruped, humanoid)
You have contributed building a hardware product shipped in the hundreds of units to customers
Don't worry if you don't hit every check-mark. We value people who learn fast and care about building great products. Just give it a go and apply.

What We Do
Loki Robotics develops autonomous robots designed to free people from repetitive chores and support facility operations. Its first robot cleans bathrooms in commercial facilities, while the company builds autonomy infrastructure for places where people live, work, and gather. Founded by ETH Zurich alumni, Loki aims to deploy intelligent machines that handle routine work, beginning with commercial cleaning and expanding toward broader autonomous facility management.
