About your team
Marketing at Fidelity Japan covers the Wholesale, Institutional, Defined Contribution and Personal Investing businesses. For each of these areas, we aspire to undertake differentiated, audience-focused marketing programs revolving around branding, intellectual capital and product-specific content. With an increasing emphasis on contemporary digital marketing, we work with partners around the world on delivering effective marketing programs to reach and influence our multiple audiences in Japan.
About your role
Fidelity Japan is focused on delivering outstanding products and services to clients across all of our business channels. Marketing plays a key role in this effort, and the Marketing manager will lead the planning and execution of campaigns for new and existing products as well as non-product efforts such as Branding, D&I and ESG. In the planning stage you will work closely with stakeholders on understanding the audience, their needs and optimal marketing approach. In the execution stage, you will work with related internal areas including Content Marketing and Digital Marketing, as well as with outside vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Main role
- Play a critical role in both the product marketing and brand marketing strategic planning and execution aimed at reaching the targets of Fidelity Japan's mainly B2B businesses.
- Serve as a key point of contact for the Team between business stakeholders and the Marketing function, covering Sales, Client Service, Compliance, Corporate Communications, and any other related functions.
- Develop marketing plans in line with business strategies, negotiate with business stakeholders, brief to advertising agencies, develop and implement policy plans, and perform a series of activities to measure effectiveness.
- When applicable, promote brand building and conduct brand surveys partnering with research agencies to track and realize sustainable marketing activities.
- Develop and implement website improvement plans to maximize the efficiency of promotional marketing activities.
- Participate in cross-functional projects as a marketing member.
- Cooperate closely with other Marketing colleagues in Product and Content areas in bringing the brand marketing initiative to life.
Sub role
- Responsible for managing content translation process of various types, such as market outlook, financial/market/ESG columns, video and product-related materials.
- Translations will be conducted in-house by the Content Manager, by leveraging other in-house resources, and by outsourcing projects to third-party translation agencies.
- Responsible for end-to-end content production including proofreading, design, layout, formatting and sign-off.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in managing comprehensive marketing campaigns and promotional activities, including but not limited to digital, video, print mediums and content production, translation. Event management experience is a plus.
- Ability to pay attention to detail with knowledge of marketing, digital and analytics, with a creative and broad perspective.
- Having extensive experience in, and knowledge of, the financial industry in Japan is a plus.
- Ability to proactively drive operations in a hands-on environment and prioritize multiple operations.
- Communication skills adapting to various audience including senior management.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English is a must.
- Self-driven/self-starter with appreciation to autonomy, and action/result-oriented
