About the role

Crunchyroll is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager for South Korea. Reporting to the Director of Marketing (Southeast Asia) within the International and Emerging Markets Marketing team. you will drive business growth for Crunchyroll in the region, lead title launches and brand initiatives, and coordinate with global LOB teams that support South Korea programs.

The Marketing Manager will manage daily marketing operations and serve as the lead for campaigns, driving insight-led strategy and world-class execution. With a creative-first mindset and media expertise, you will design and activate holistic, locally relevant campaigns in collaboration with Social, PR, Growth Marketing, and agency partners. The Marketing Manager will lead successes of both title and brand campaigns.

This role will be remotely based in South Korea.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive viewership and streaming subscriptions, grow our awareness footprint, and leverage all organic marketing efforts to reach users in meaningful and engaging ways.
  • Direct the execution of regional brand-campaigns through agencies and in partnership with the local PR, Social Media and Events teams, and centralized internal marketing and creative services teams.
  • Align marketing strategy with global LOB teams (content, curation, lifecycle, media, partnerships, product and growth marketing)
  • Manage marketing budgets, including POs and invoices, ensuring accuracy and processing.
  • Develop influencer marketing strategy that is supportive to the market growth and marketing outreach
  • Track, measure, and analyze performance across all campaigns and make strategic optimizations to achieve and exceed brand and growth KPIs
  • Manage project requests, timelines, deliverables and partner communication. May include activities like:
    • Content brief creation for campaigns managed internally or with external agencies or third parties
    • Event and program execution management
  • Develop and contribute to regional processes, marketing and social media best practices, with regular experimentation, research, and professional development
  • Partner with agency or creative team for digital and OOH asset requests and specifications
  • Partner with the localization team for any translations
  • Foster a collaborative culture while contributing to global marketing best practices.
About You
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing campaign management (budgeting, planning, execution, reporting).
  • Experience leading end-to-end campaigns with a data-driven, test-and-learn approach.
  • Expertise in tailoring activations for specific audiences and goals.
  • Experience managing multi-faceted programs progressing within various timelines.
  • Experience with Media/OTT/Anime landscape, Korean pop culture, as well an understanding of multicultural communities
  • Experienced working with agencies in advertising, social media, influencer marketing and events
  • Proficiency in Creative Asset Management systems and Google Workspace.
  • Some regional travel will be required

Education & Language:

  • Required Language: Fluent written and spoken English, other Asian language such as Korean is a plus
