Company Description

Audley is a passionate, vibrant company that specialises in creating truly exceptional tailor made travel for discerning clients.
We’re based in a 17th century converted wool mill in rural Oxfordshire and are opening offices in the United States in Boston, MA..
Audley was established in 1996 as Asian Journeys, offering tailor-made holidays to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos (Indo-China), though we now travel much further afield to over 80 countries.
The heart of our business has always been our Country Specialists. These individuals have all travelled independently and extensively to one or more of our regions and can demonstrate a wide variety of country knowledge and an infectious passion for what they have experienced. They are a hugely varied, sociable crowd unified by their passion for travel. They are also extremely organised and have excellent communication skills - after all, the ability to sell is a key skill without which they can’t possibly succeed.
The ethos of Audley is to provide our clients with exceptional customer service and a trip which surpasses their expectations. As a result, they return to us year after year and recommend us to others.
That’s why our people are crucial. We rely on outstanding employees who are committed to providing excellent service. If our employees are happy, they’ll make our clients happy. Then we can all be happy!
In the last two years readers of Wanderlust magazine have ranked us in their Top 10 Tour Operators. In addition, AITO have awarded us the maximum three stars in recognition of our responsible tourism policies.
This year we are proud to be awarded with an Accreditation from the Best Companies organisation for our working environment.

What We Do

For over 25 years, we’ve listened to what people want to experience and how they want to feel on their travels. We shape every trip around each client’s interests and tastes, right down to the finest detail. The result? Meaningful travel experiences that stay with them long after they return home. We can do this because we’ve experienced these places ourselves. That’s why our people are so important. Everyone at Audley is united by a passion for travel that we nurture and strengthen. For example, our country specialists return to their regions regularly to test out stays and experiences. It means we have local knowledge you won’t find in guidebooks and can help people discover the authentic soul of a place. We’ve always strived to work with local people and businesses in our destinations. Not only do we feel this gives our clients the best experience, it also brings benefits to local communities. In 2020 we were made a Travelife Partner in recognition of our commitment to improving our sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility. Life at Audley We offer flexibility through hybrid working, giving you the chance to split your time between home and our offices. Within the UK, choose from our historic converted mill in Witney, Oxfordshire — complete with allotments and barbecues — or our sleek London office in Shepherd’s Bush, near Westfield Shopping Centre. We also have a US office in Boston’s trendy North End. Regular socials take place at each office, providing time to connect with others away from work. We welcome and celebrate differences and encourage everyone to bring their true selves to work. Our global diversity, equity, and inclusion group, Unify, was set up to raise awareness of DE&I at Audley and identify areas we can improve on. After all, it's our people that make Audley successful. Over the years we’ve won a raft of awards, but what we’re most proud of is seeing our staff flourish and clients return to us year after year.
