Job Description:
About Us
At Russell Investments, our purpose is simple yet powerful: to improve people’s financial security. We believe in the strength of partnership — with our clients, our colleagues, and our communities.
As a global investment solutions firm, we bring together leading insights, expertise, and innovation to help investors achieve better outcomes.
About the Role
We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Marketing Manager to join our North America Advisor & Intermediary Solutions (AIS) marketing team. Based in Toronto, this individual will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing marketing strategies that drive engagement across the Canadian intermediary and retail channels—including MFDA dealers, national bank-owned dealers, national independent dealers and others.
You’ll partner closely with the sales and product marketing teams, and collaborate across borders with colleagues in Seattle, London and Mumbai, to deliver initiatives that bring our firm’s best ideas and investment solutions to Canadian advisors and investors. You know what it takes to launch and sustain products—from ETFs to private markets and fund offerings—guiding them from the early planning to long-term engagement, and you’re skilled at crafting campaigns that resonate with both advisors and end investors.
This is an opportunity for a strategic thinker who’s also hands on—someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, environment and is passionate about helping advisors and investors achieve better outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Marketing Execution
- Develop and implement integrated, multi-channel marketing programs — digital, email, webinars, advertising and social media — to elevate Russell Investments’ brand and strengthen relationships with advisors and intermediary partners.
- Tailor campaigns to the distinct needs of the Canadian markets, aligning with compliance and regional nuances.
Partner Enablement
- Design compelling marketing collateral, sales tools, and training materials — including brochures, product guides, presentations, and digital assets — to support advisors and distribution partners.
- Collaborate with the wholesaling sales teams to deliver timely, effective marketing resources that drive engagement and sales, in both English and French.
Campaign & Project Management
- Lead integrated campaigns for product launches, thought leadership, and advisor engagement initiatives.
- Oversee timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication to ensure on-brand, on-time delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal stakeholders — including Sales, Product Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Digital — to ensure quality and consistency across all initiatives.
- Work closely with our Mumbai-based marketing team, who serve as an extension of our North American offices, to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Localization & Compliance
- Adapt materials for the Canadian market, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and cultural nuances.
- Manage French translation workflows using tools such as TransPerfect, ensuring quality and efficiency across bilingual materials.
Performance & Insights
- Monitor campaign results, engagement, and ROI to inform continuous improvement.
- Share learnings and best practices across regional teams.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of progressive marketing experience in asset management or financial services, ideally focused on marketing to financial advisors.
- Proven success bringing new products to market and executing both advisor and direct-to-investor marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding of intermediary channels (broker-dealer, banks, and wirehouse).
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing initiatives.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Marketo, Seismic, Workfront or other marketing automation and CRM tools.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration and project management skills.
- A proactive, strategic mindset with a passion for innovation and measurable results.
