About this roleAs Senior Marketing Manager – Sponsorships in Germany (based in Berlin), you’ll play a key role in bringing our UEFA partnership and football marketing strategy to life. Reporting into the Marketing Lead, you’ll be responsible for locally relevant, high-impact campaigns that drive brand love and customer engagement across all touchpoints.
You’ll lead integrated go-to-market (GTM) activations around major football moments; from UEFA Champions League campaigns to matchday activations and local fan engagement initiatives, working closely with agencies, internal teams, and rights holders to ensure best-in-class execution. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on activation, requiring someone who can connect brand storytelling with cultural relevance and fan passion.
While your primary focus will be on football, you’ll also help shape our broader sponsorship and brand partnership strategy in Germany, ensuring JET shows up consistently and meaningfully across all brand passion points.
Key responsibilities- Lead the development and execution of football brand plans, including UEFA sponsorship activations (e.g. Champions League) in Germany that engage fans across every stage of the funnel.
- Own go-to-market planning for key football moments and matchdays, ensuring seamless integration across paid, earned, owned, and partner channels.
- Manage day-to-day collaboration with rights holders, creative agencies, and production partners, ensuring all assets, approvals, and activations meet brand standards and timelines.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Brand, Media, PR, Social, CRM, Partner Marketing) to ensure football is consistently embedded across campaigns and always-on activities.
- Lead the planning and delivery of matchday CRM campaigns, ensuring tailored communication and offers drive engagement and conversion among football fans.
- Drive on-ground and digital fan engagement around matchdays, tournaments, and cultural moments, leveraging content creators, social media, and local communities.
- Contribute to the expansion of broader sponsorship and partnership opportunities beyond football, helping identify and shape new brand collaboration platforms.
- Track and report on campaign and sponsorship performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Strong experience in sports or sponsorship marketing, ideally with a focus on football or major sports partnerships.
- Proven ability to activate global sponsorship assets through integrated, multi-channel campaigns that resonate locally.
- Skilled in agency and stakeholder management, from creative briefing to execution, with an eye for detail and creative excellence.
- Deep understanding of football culture, fan behavior, and content trends across social, digital, and experiential channels.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple campaigns, stakeholders, and timelines simultaneously.
- Collaborative and cross-functional mindset, able to connect teams and drive alignment between global and local markets.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English (German language is mandatory).
- A passion for connecting brands with culture through sport, entertainment, and partnerships that drive emotional engagement.
