Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA) works with all parts of the Group to engage and influence stakeholders. MCA works as a trusted partner to enhance and protect CommBank’s brand and reputation, increase the bank’s competitive advantage and deliver customer and business value.

As part of MCA, the Brand Campaigns and Programs team is accountable for developing and managing the Brand Communications that help drive Brand and Reputation. 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Brand Communications expert to join our courageous and exceptional marketing team – someone who can apply analytics and insights to understand our customers and key stakeholder groups and deliver relevant and impactful messages to those audiences.

Do work that matters

  • Working with the Executive Manager (Chapter Lead), Brand Communications, in developing and delivering cutting edge and integrated communication campaigns to drive key Brand and Reputation metrics at a national level. You will do this through communications planning, communications processes, budget, agency management and reporting.

  • Working with other Marketing Teams to align on communication messages and communication plans, for coordinated through-the-line communications and seamless customer journeys.

  • You will have the chance to work with some of the best agencies in Australia to deliver this work, which will require a collaborative style, clarity of direction and a constant pursuit of excellence.

  • Presenting overall marketing plans and strategic direction to senior management for funding approval and support.

  • Working with the Customer Insights Team to collate thorough analysis of competitor insights, brand insights, brand tracking and campaign results to determine learnings and opportunities.

  • Proactively making recommendations for Brand strength based on competitor trends, customer behaviour and environmental changes.

  • Working within the broader MCA Team, and specifically with the Corporate Affairs Team, to align internal communications and PR plans for integrated communications.

  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct sets the standards of behaviour, actions and decisions we expect from our people.

We’re interested in hearing from people who demonstrates:

  • Significant experience in marketing, with brand communications experience preferred.

  • Proven track record of turning data into insight-led, standout creative briefs and large-scale brand campaigns.

  • Passion and deep understanding of the role media plays in excellent brand campaign delivery.

  • Proven experience in cross team collaboration and great stakeholder management skills including agency management.

  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple and varied tasks.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively engage internal and external stakeholders.
