The Role

We’re seeking a strategic and technical Senior Marketing Automation Specialist with over 3 years of hands-on experience in building multi-channel journeys and optimising lifecycle marketing. You'll work cross-functionally with CX, Product, and Sales to craft personalised, data-driven experiences that drive growth and retention at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and lifecycle program design

  • Design, build, and optimise end-to-end customer lifecycle programs that increase engagement, loyalty, and retention using platforms such as Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze or similar.
  • Partner with CX, Product, and Sales teams to influence campaign strategy and shape the customer experience roadmap.
  • Stay current with emerging marketing automation trends, tools, and best practices to inform ongoing improvements.

Campaign execution and optimisation

  • Develop and implement multi-channel campaigns with sophisticated dynamic content and personalisation logic across email, SMS, push, and in-app messaging.
  • Continuously optimise programs and customer journeys to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Set up and manage A/B and multivariate testing strategies; iterate campaigns based on performance insights.
  • Collaborate with content and design teams to develop high-impact creative assets.

Data, reporting and insights

  • Monitor campaign performance across key metrics; provide actionable insights to enhance engagement, conversion, and ROI.
  • Ensure CRM data integrity by supporting data hygiene practices and maintaining actionable audience segmentation.

Commercial growth and revenue-driven marketing

  • Proven track record of designing and executing automation campaigns that drive revenue growth across acquisition, activation, and retention stages.
  • Experience re-engaging lapsed users, increasing customer frequency of use, and reducing churn through personalised, behavior-based campaigns.
  • Skilled at cross-sell and upsell strategies, leveraging segmentation and data insights to maximize customer lifetime value (CLV).
  • Strong understanding of commercial KPIs and ability to optimise campaigns to hit growth targets.

Technical leadership and platform management

  • Act as a technical lead within the CRM team, providing platform expertise and guidance on best practices.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues across marketing automation platforms to ensure campaign reliability.
  • Collaborate with developers and data teams on advanced integrations and custom solutions.

Compliance and deliverability

  • Uphold best practices for email deliverability and maintain compliance with global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM).

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of proven experience working directly with a major marketing automation platform (e.g., Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze).
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and their integration with marketing automation platforms.
  • Strong understanding of lead generation, lead nurturing, and customer lifecycle management and revenue generating campaigns.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Skilled at simplifying technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Effectively manages projects and priorities with strong organisational skills and experience in agile environments.
  • Strong HTML/CSS skills for email template customisation is a plus.
  • An analytical mindset and comfort working with data to drive decision-making
