Job Description

The Role

The Senior Marketing Associate, Search is a fixed-term role of approximately 10 months, covering maternity leave from November 2026. It reports into the Senior Marketing Manager, Performance Media, who leads SEEK’s paid search, paid app and app store optimisation across APAC. The role has two halves. The first is hands-on ownership of SEEK’s hirer paid search in Australia and New Zealand. The second is leading the team’s AI programme: building the agents, automation and ways of working that take the manual checking, auditing and reporting out of performance media, and helping the wider team adopt them.

Key Responsibilities

  • SEEK Hirer SEM, Australia & New Zealand: Own day-to-day management of SEEK's hirer paid search campaigns across AU and NZ, including bid strategy, budget pacing, and ad execution. Review performance regularly and keep stakeholders updated on trends and actions.
  • Optimisation and Testing: Run structured campaign experiments (bid strategies, structure, ad copy, landing pages) from hypothesis to readout, partnering with country marketing and product teams to keep improving account performance.
  • Keyword and Search Insight: Develop and refine keyword and audience strategy using Google Ads, SA360 and competitive tools, turning market signals into account decisions.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse campaign performance, contribute to team reporting and dashboards, and present clear insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • AI Programme: Lead the Performance Media AI programme, owning the roadmap, prioritisation and coordination across the team to avoid duplicated work.
  • SEM Agent and Operational Excellence: Build and maintain AI agents and automations (e.g. Claude, Glean, Google Ads API/MCP) to streamline campaign audits, quality checks, pacing alerts and reporting, documenting them so they stay useful long-term.
  • AI Centre of Excellence: Help teammates and adjacent marketing teams adopt AI through demos, playbooks and hands-on support, sharing learnings across APAC marketing.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Performance Media, APAC marketing, product and data teams to ensure aligned marketing strategies.
  • Staying Updated: Keep pace with Google Ads, SA360 and AI tooling developments, bringing useful innovations into the team's ways of working.

The Team

Performance Media team sits within SEEK’s APAC Marketing team and is responsible for SEEK’s paid search, paid app and app store optimisation across the APAC markets, together with Jora’s performance marketing. The team plans, runs and optimises media for both candidates and hirers, leveraging 1st party data, and oversees performance monitoring, pacing and reporting through a shared reporting standard and dashboards. It works with agency partners in the markets they support and with local market teams through a Centre of Excellence (COE) that fosters innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring SEEK remains at the forefront of technology and channel innovation, including the practical use of AI. By working closely with marketing, product and data teams, the team contributes to the overall growth and success of SEEK and Jora in the APAC region.
