This role may be based in our Singapore office, on an in-office basis. Regular in-office presence is required for day-to-day operations, as well as for team meetings, training opportunities, and relationship building. This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer, with oversight from the Director of Marketing and Business Development.
Position Summary
The Senior Marketing and Business Development Manager will support a variety of marketing, business development and communication initiatives focused on elevating the firm’s brand for the Singapore and Seoul offices. The position will be part of the global marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Works directly with attorneys and other professionals to strategically promote the firm’s visibility goals in the Singapore and Seoul markets.
- Develops and maintains relationships with attorneys, serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day requests and marketing and business development needs, while gaining a thorough understanding of the market, office initiatives, and key client representations.
- Collaborates with relevant practice and industry marketing professionals to support RFP and proposal responses, coordinating with local Singapore attorneys to analyze market research, prospective clients, and business sectors. Drafts responses and prepares presentations as necessary.
- Based on the visibility goals of the Singapore and Seoul offices, coordinates with communications team colleagues to identify media opportunities and nominations. Helps prepare data for nominations, media surveys and related reports.
- Working in coordination with relevant practice and industry marketers, coordinates regional directory submissions and other rankings.
- Writes, edits and distributes marketing materials, newsletters, conference materials, client updates, website content and other client communications as needed.
- Evaluates and recommends office sponsorships, memberships, and event participation at client and community events, supporting execution to enhance the firm's visibility and influence in the Singapore market.
- Works with events and practice/industry professionals to plan, organize and host client events including the preparation of conference/webinar materials. Works to manage all aspects of local events including concept and agenda development with attorneys, invitation creation, coordination with venue, among other event duties. Evaluates return on investment before and after each event and closely manages budget.
- Drafts and maintains client-facing and internal marketing materials for Singapore, including attorney biographies, local practice area description updates, experience tracking, news and activities data, press releases, website content, etc.
- Prepares welcome materials for new attorneys, including working with the Director of Marketing and Business Development to help integrate lateral attorneys, including helping prioritize which attorneys to meet internally.
- Coordinates the flow of information from attorneys to relevant firmwide marketing professionals.
- Works with individual shareholders and local practice group leaders to develop, implement, and support business plans that align with the practice, industry and firm strategic goals relevant to the Singapore market.
- Has knowledge of the Singapore market including the local business community and key charitable and civic organizations.
- Assists with and manages a variety of short and long-term projects and attorney requests as needed.
